Brand Campaign

What If Advertising Was Actually Fun?

Stop interrupting people. Give them something to play with.

What If Advertising Was Actually Fun?

Businesses are constantly looking for new ways to engage with their audiences. More content, more campaigns, more competitions, more ads. But the reality is that people are exposed to so much noise every single day that getting someone’s attention is becoming harder than ever.

That’s where I think gamification still has a massive role to play.

People naturally enjoy competition. We like trying to beat our own scores, competing against others, earning rewards and, perhaps most importantly, having fun.

So I took a jab at iCAUR.

I’ve been looking at the iCAUR V23 recently and honestly, that thing is beautiful. I thought, what if instead of just advertising the car, they gave people a reason to actually spend some time with the brand?

From that, I built a racing game around it. You race, collect points, compete on a leaderboard and, because no car can race forever 😂, you actually have to slow down to charge. 😎 At this basic level, it shows different terrains, and the different colours of their vehicles that you can apply.

Now take that idea and imagine it properly built for a brand. Monthly leaderboards. Real prizes. Cashback. Trade-in assistance. Merchandise. Exclusive experiences. Invite your friends and earn multipliers. Suddenly, the campaign isn't something you're being shown. It's something you're choosing to participate in.

And the interesting part for me is that I built this simply because I had an idea, using Base44. While it isn't perfect, a full day of work would easily turn it into a full on game with all functionality, that's the power of technology today.

The point is how quickly an idea can go from "this could be cool" to something you can actually play with.

If you're a brand and you're looking for a different way to engage your audience, let's build something. 👀
